ALL FRAGMENTS OF A PAINTING: NURİ KUZUCAN
Galerist is pleased to present All Fragments of a Painting, Nuri Kuzucan’s second exhibition at the gallery, opening on May 7, Wednesday. This exhibition invites viewers into a visual and conceptual dialogue with the space, where Kuzucan constructs an experiential environment that highlights the presence and memory of the nineteenth-century building in which the gallery resides, without imposing a guiding narrative.
At the core of the exhibition lies a fundamental respect for the autonomous presence of the hosting space. Rather than dominating it through a hierarchical order, Kuzucan approaches it as an equal element. In All Fragments of a Painting, he frees the viewer’s perception from a fixed, singular point of view. His paintings transcend the role of mere surfaces on the walls, engaging with one another and their surroundings in a dynamic flow that spans the entire exhibition. Dualities such as emptiness and fullness, light and shadow, negative and positive space evolve into complementary components, forming a continually shifting visual balance that exceeds the limits of a singular narrative.
On view until June 21, Nuri Kuzucan’s All Fragments of a Painting proposes a contemplative journey where space, memory, and perception unfold not as fixed constructs, but as elements in constant flux.
