Another installation, Vortex, brings together various materials gathered from nature, such as a rock resembling a tree hollow, a slice of bread mimicking a sponge, a frayed rope, and a fossil-like mushroom. These materials, gradually changing in the forest, start to resemble and transform into one another over time. The artist interrupts the process of these objects merging into nature by bringing them into the gallery space. They are exhibited alongside their increasingly smaller replicas. Much like
an archaeological collection, Vortex presents these objects with particular histories, alongside their imagined futures. This whirlpool, where things shrink and transform into one another, materialises the idea that nothing truly vanishes but everything transforms continuously. (Ulya Soley)
