Galerist is hosting a group exhibition titled 'You Can't Kiss Away a Murder, curated by Derya Demir.
Both individual and collective memories try to cover up experiences which are overlooked constantly. However, periodically these experiences also engender fragmented, independent new images, forming a certaing form of restlessness, a tension which is difficult to put a name to.
This vertiginous tension we experience may be slightly overcome, but it may also provokeextroverted or introverted violence. Once tension becomes an addiction, it also harbors pleasure.
While a multitude of data from our everyday life today presents us with the disturbing signs of the imminent arrival of a new World War, the mystery of our everyday relationships can assume the form of an addiction which is neither loved nor hated.
So under these hypothetical conditions, the exhibition 'You Can't Kiss Away a Murder' can be perceived as an emotional experience or an imaginary game based on the attractive necessity of suspicion.
