Ayça Telgeren (b. 1975, Gölcük) examines the relationship between body and space, the balance of the masculine and the feminine, and intimacy through the lens of her personal history. She explores the intersections of these themes with collective memory, shaping her research and artistic production accordingly. Her use of various media is a crucial element in her practice, reflecting the essence of her subject matter. She employs a variety of techniques, including drawing, cut-out, watercolour, lithography, sculpture, site-specific interventions, and video.
She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Having participated in numerous exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad, her works are included in the collections of several institutions, such as Odunpazarı Modern Museum, Bilsart, and Istanbul Modern. Telgeren is a founding member and active participant in collectives such as 216 Düşünce ve Üretim Alanı, HAH, Atış Serbest, and 3 Günlük Sergi.
